团队近两年获得国家自然科学基金1项、科技部专项经费1项、协和青年基金1项等纵向基金支持，累计经费约200万元。与新疆德源生物工程有限公司建立联合实验室，开展“RhD阴性献浆员抗D免疫研究”，与四川新生命干细胞建立联合实验室“脐带血安全有效研究联合实验室”。此外，随着团队在行业影响力不断扩大，重庆市血液中心、山西太原血液中心、云南昆明血液中心及成都中医药大学、昆明医学院等多家血液中心和医院申请到本中心进行技术培训和课题合作。牵头修订国家卫生行业标准《全血及成分血使用指南》，参与《临床用血技术规范》制定。团队成立近2年来，团队师生已发表SCI论文8篇，核心期刊论文5篇。
The primary research direction of the clinical transfusion medicine center is based on the studies on the risks derived from the practice of blood transfusion. The research studies in our center focuses on the genetic basis of human blood groups with the aim of increasing the efficiency and safety of clinical blood transfusion. We are interested in the identification of complex blood groups, the resolution of antibody problems and the reduction in the rates of immunological transfusion reactions and hemolytic disease of the newborn. We are also interested in the immunological responses involved in organ and HSC transplantation, while providing consultation and corresponding strategies for clinicians. The HLA Lab of our center is a HLA Reference Laboratory affirmed by MOH, as well as Tissue Typing Laboratory of CMDP under the Red Cross Society of China. In the past two years, we have obtained more than 2 million RMB in financial support from National Natural Science Foundation of China, Special Foundation from Ministry of Science and Technology, and Youth Scientist Foundation of PUMC as well as the industry. More than ten papers have been published since the establishment of this center.

博士，教授，主任技师，博士生导师。毕业于德国洪堡大学医学院。现任中国医学科学院输血研究所副所长，北京协和医学院输血医学系执行主任，《中国输血杂志》主编。研究方向：血液安全，临床输血，血液保存。先后赴美国俄亥俄州哥伦布市血液中心、美国红十字会Holland研究中心、日本大阪血液中心学习，德国哥廷根大学医学院输血医学系学习和做访问学者的研究，熟悉采供血业务及质量工作，先后在安徽省血液中心任研究室主任、业务副站长、质量副站长，一直致力于血液安全和保障。承担国家科技支撑项目、国家自然科学基金、省国际科技合作项目等。《中国输血杂志》、《国际血液学杂志》杂志编委，《临床输血与检验》杂志编委，《Prenatal Diagnosis》论文评议员等。第41届国际低温医学生物学大会秘书长。

Dr. Liu Zhong. Professor of CAMS&PUMC, Associate Director of CAMS Institute of Blood Transfusion, Chief Editor of Chinese Journal of Blood Transfusion, Executive Director of Department of Transfusion Medicine in PUMC, Research Instructor. He received his PhD degree at Humboldt-University in Germany. Research directions: Blood safety, clinical transfusion and blood preservation.
He studied in and visited Columbus Blood Center in Ohio, USA, Holland Institute of American Red Cross, Blood Center of Osaka in Japan and Goettingen University in Germany as a guest scientist, gaining more experience in blood collection and supply and quality control work. He also worked as a director of the Research Department, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Quality Officer in Anhui Blood Center, dedicating his lifetime efforts to guarantee blood safety and availability.
He was supported by The National Key Technology R&D Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China, International S&T Cooperation Program of Sichuan. Dr. Liu is on the Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Blood Transfusion, International Journal of Transfusion and Hematology, Journal of Clinical Transfusion and Laboratory Medicine, and an academic journal reviewer of Prenatal Diagnosis. Dr. Liu was also General Secretary of 41st Congress of International Medical Cryobiology.
